Staff Week Overview of research data in France

The Library Department of the University of Strasbourg is very glad to invite information specialists, librarians, data librarians and staff involved into researcher services in academic sector to exchange on research data services.

Objectives & informations

The Library Department of the University of Strasbourg is very glad to invite information specialists, librarians, data librarians and staff involved into researcher services in academic sector to exchange on research data services.

The idea of a Staff Week had came from building new competences among library staff, in order to develop research data services. The University of Strasbourg, with the Bibliothèque nationale et universitaire de Strasbourg (BNUS) and the University of Lorraine (UL), participates to Recherche Data Gouv, an ecosystem for sharing and opening research data at a national level in France.

 

The main objectives are :

  •  Exchanging with foreigner institutions on professional activities
  • Acquiring better knowledge on researcher services among research institutions at a European level
  • Discovering new competences linked to research data management services and support among European universitary libraries

 

Delivering to participants:

  • Workshops, conferences
  • Library tours: the learning center of the University of Strasbourg "the Studium" (Strasbourg, France), Bibliothèque nationale et universitaire de Strasbourg BNU (Strasbourg, France) and the learning center of the Université d’Haute Alsace "LC-BU Illberg" (Mulhouse, France).

 

The Staff Week will last five days physically in October 2023 and two days remotely after the second half of November 2023.

There are no fees but participants are expected to obtain Erasmus+ Staff Mobility grants from their home institutions.
